Extension Updates & Compatibility

As a user, I want the extension to notify me when a new version is available so that I can stay up to date with improvements.

✅ Acceptance Criteria

• Show a notification when a new extension update is available.
• Provide a changelog with details of new features and fixes.
• Ensure backward compatibility with previous versions.
• Offer an option to manually check for updates.

📌 Tasks

• Implement an update check in the background script.
• Fetch and display changelog details when an update is available.
• Ensure older categorized data remains compatible with new versions.
• Test update behavior across different Firefox versions.

📝 Notes

• Display update notifications in the extension popup UI.
• Include a "What’s New" section in the settings panel.
