How to exclude a nested path from sitemap?

I want to exclude everything under /app from the sitemap, is there any way to use a function or regex on the path property of pages?

pages[].path expects a concrete path, not a regex or predicate, so remove the /app/.* entry. For your configuration with prerendering enabled, one option is to set the sitemap flag after each successful render:

The boundary check keeps /apple while excluding /app and its descendants. Start merges the callback's return value into that page, and the sitemap builder filters on page.sitemap.exclude. See the current schema, callback handling, and sitemap filter.

I verified this with the actual prerender/sitemap functions at commit 6954a370 (start-plugin-core 1.171.43), using fixed HTML responses: five pages rendered, while only / and /apple entered the XML. This does not establish compatibility with an unspecified older version.

Two limitations matter here:

• prerender.filter alone skips rendering but does not remove those page entries from the sitemap.
• onSuccess only handles successful renders. For pages you skip or cannot prerender, put sitemap: { exclude: true } on their explicit pages entries, or generate your sitemap separately. If a page overrides onSuccess, include the same exclusion logic there.
