Assistance Required – FDS-SMV 6.11.0 Installation Issues #16401

Description

@riyapa688

We are currently evaluating and packaging FDS-SMV 6.11.0 for Windows for deployment within our organization and have encountered several issues during installation and validation.
Issues Observed

FDS executable fails to launch

After a successful installation, attempting to open fds.exe results in the following error:

"The code execution cannot proceed because impi.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem."

No product version information

The executable located at:
C:\Program Files\firemodels\FDS6\bin\fds.exe

does not contain any Product Version, File Version, Product Name, or other version metadata in the Windows file properties.

No registry information

We are unable to find a registry entry containing product/version information that can be used to validate the installation.
We also do not see a reliable uninstall registry key being created for detection purposes.

Software packaging concerns

Since neither registry entries nor executable version information are available, it is difficult for us to create an enterprise deployment and detection method for the application.

Questions

Is the impi.dll file expected to be installed as part of the standard FDS-SMV 6.11.0 installation?
Is there an additional package, dependency, or MPI runtime that must be installed separately?
Are there any post-installation configuration steps required for FDS to function correctly?
Is there a recommended registry key, file, or version identifier that customers can use to validate installations?
Could you please provide the recommended installation and deployment procedure for enterprise environments?

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
