Steps to reproduce

winget list --upgrade-available

WinGet reports two updates:

Cisco Webex Meetings
ID: Cisco.CiscoWebexMeetings
Installed: 43.10.0
Available: 45.6.4.8
Source: winget

Remote Desktop Manager
ID: Devolutions.RemoteDesktopManager
Installed: 2026.2.14.0
Available: 2026.2.17.0
Source: winget

Run the native PowerShell WinGet API:

Import-Module Microsoft.WinGet.Client

Get-WinGetPackage -Id Cisco.CiscoWebexMeetings |
    Format-List *

The native API returns:
InstalledVersion : 43.10.0
IsUpdateAvailable : False
Source : winget
AvailableVersions : {45.6.4.8, 45.6.3.12, 44.4.0.159, 43.8.2.6, ...}

Expected behavior

The native WinGet COM/PowerShell API should report the same two available updates detected by the WinGet CLI and set IsUpdateAvailable to True.

Actual behavior

The native API returns no update candidates to UniGetUI. For Cisco Webex, it reports newer entries in AvailableVersions, but IsUpdateAvailable is False. UniGetUI therefore reports no updates.

This reproduces the behavior described in #5968 and is also covered by the broader CLI/API inconsistency tracked in #5654.

The issue is still reproducible with WinGet v1.29.280:

• winget list --upgrade-available detects two updates:
  • Cisco.CiscoWebexMeetings
  • Devolutions.RemoteDesktopManager
• Get-WinGetPackage returns IsUpdateAvailable: False.
• UniGetUI uses the packaged WinGet COM API and therefore reports zero updates.
