👋 Hey, I’m Alex

IT guy by day, systems goblin by night. ⚙️🌙

I love building weird, ambitious things that sit somewhere between:

  • community platforms
  • infrastructure
  • creative tooling
  • game systems
  • identity ecosystems
  • and “this sounded smaller in my head.”

I’m based in Australia 🇦🇺 and spend most of my time exploring how technology can create stronger online communities, better workflows, and more meaningful digital experiences.

🧠 What kind of maker am I?

I’m the kind of developer who:

  • builds prototypes at 1am because an idea “clicked”
  • enjoys architecture as much as coding
  • likes understanding why systems work, not just how
  • over-engineers hobby projects into mini ecosystems
  • treats documentation like a first-class feature 📚
  • thinks branding and philosophy matter just as much as code
  • believes communities are built through shared experiences, not just features

I bounce between:

Laravel • Railway • S3 • Grafana • Automation • Identity Systems
Game Design • UX • Community Platforms • Infrastructure • Creative Tech

🚀 Current Projects

🎥 Livelatch

Livelatch is an evolving platform for creators, streamers, indie communities, and online identities.

At its surface, it’s a powerful “link-in-bio” platform.

Underneath, it’s becoming something much bigger: an ecosystem focused on community memory, interaction, and digital identity.

✨ Core Ideas

  • creator pages
  • customizable themes
  • community interaction systems
  • creator tools
  • collectible “LatchDeck” cards 🃏
  • event-based digital collectibles
  • future creator ecosystems + integrations

🌌 Philosophy

Communities should feel remembered.

Not optimized into oblivion. Not reduced to analytics dashboards and engagement bait. Real moments should matter.

⚡ Tech Stack

Laravel • Railway • MySQL • S3 Storage • Supabase • PostHog

🌌 PGL (Project Game Lab)

PGL is my long-term community + infrastructure ecosystem project.

It started as a gaming/dev community experiment and evolved into a much broader identity and systems playground.

🛠️ Things PGL Explores

  • unified identity systems
  • self-hosted infrastructure
  • Discord automation
  • SSO architecture
  • knowledge systems
  • role synchronization
  • community onboarding
  • observability + monitoring
  • governance/workflow ideas

🧪 Tech & Systems

LDAP • Entra ID • Wiki.js • Grafana • Prometheus • Automation • Bots

PGL is less of a single product and more of a living systems lab.

🧰 Things I Enjoy Building

  • internal tooling
  • dashboards
  • community systems
  • horror game concepts 👁️
  • automation pipelines
  • identity/auth systems
  • creator ecosystems
  • monitoring stacks
  • strange experimental side-projects
  • infrastructure that feels “alive”

🌱 Current Philosophy

I really enjoy the idea of:

building things that solve my own problems first,
then opening them up so others can benefit too.

A lot of modern software feels disposable.

I’d rather build:

  • tools with personality
  • systems with continuity
  • platforms that encourage creativity
  • communities people genuinely care about

☕ Current Status

[▓▓▓▓▓▓▓░░░] Building Livelatch
[▓▓▓▓░░░░░░] Expanding PGL
[▓▓▓░░░░░░░] Sleeping properly

📡 Elsewhere

You’ll usually find me:

  • building
  • documenting
  • troubleshooting infrastructure
  • redesigning systems halfway through development
  • or accidentally creating three new projects while trying to finish one

🚂 Welcome to the chaos.
