Why this repository is retained rather than deleted: some repositories still read
data files from source/_static/lecture_specific/ over raw.githubusercontent.com.
Archived repositories continue to serve raw content, so those URLs keep working.
This is the historical RST source, kept for reference and for the data files it still serves. It was superseded by QuantEcon/lecture-python.myst during the migration to MyST Markdown and Jupyter Book.
