The change: Minor bug fixes in the dx_area implementation, plus removal of the constrained/unconstrained split, the slow input step, and any operations no longer used. Also investigate increased timeouts with Hydrocron possibly due to an increased in requested data.

• Change to dx_area
• Downstream: technically all, but only MOI and MetroMan currently use dx_area

Open questions

• Do the corrected dx_area values change anything for MOI or MetroMan, even though the interface stays the same?

Tasks

• Fix the dx_area implementation, and review the output
• Ensure the dx_area change reaches the SWOT files then the Output module
• Map out what can be removed (constrained/unconstrained split, slow input step, unused operations) @nikki-t
• Come up with a strategy for handling Hydrocron timeouts @nikki-t
• Implement removal of operations that are no longer used @nikki-t
• Complete an offline run to test changes and evaluate results
