SMBus and DCMAC license requirement not in docs #233

Description

@jskimko

In Build and Install SLASH, the docs only mention that a Vivado Enterprise license is required. However, the scripts/package-deb.sh script will fail to build SLASH if either the SM Bus or DCMAC licenses are missing, hours into the build.

  • Only the SM Bus IP is mentioned.
  • Only the Versal-DCMAC submodule is mentioned.

    Hi @jskimko, can you please provide the full log for the missing license?

    @jskimko, see my PR #234. Would the text be enough? I also added checks to validate if the licenses are available before any built is done

    @mariodruiz Unfortunately, I don't have the logs anymore (just fixed the issues and overwrote the log). IIRC, both errors are easily identifiable by smbus and dcmac being mentioned before the stack trace.

    I checked your PR, and the text LGTM and I appreciate the early check. The main issue was just that it wasn't mentioned, so it wasted more than a few hours sitting in HLS.

    Your AMD License Center link drops me to https://www.amd.com/en.html. (I normally use a link ending in /getlicense ;-).) Also, you can generate both licenses from the license center (rather than redirecting using different locations and treating the process as two distinct steps).
