| The following are well-known wallet projects with active Alephium support. They are listed for informational purposes, not as an endorsement, and the list is not exhaustive. Always verify the official website or app before installing, as phishing copies of legitimate wallets can look very similar to the real thing. | ||
| ## **Hardware Wallets** | ||
| Alephium supports several hardware wallets, allowing you to keep your private keys offline while using compatible Alephium wallets. | ||
| **Supported hardware wallets include:** | ||
| **DeFi compatible:** | ||
| - [**Ledger**](https://support.ledger.com/article/Alephium-ALPH) | ||

| ## **Hot / Cold Wallet Pattern** | ||
| A common security practice is to use different wallets for different purposes: | ||
| - A **hot wallet** is a software wallet connected to the internet, including **mobile, desktop and browser extension wallets**. It is useful for everyday activities like swapping, staking and interacting with DeFi applications. Keep only the amount you need for these activities. | ||
| - A **cold wallet** uses a hardware device to keep your private keys offline. It is suited to holding larger amounts that you do not need to access regularly. | ||
| Keeping your everyday DeFi funds in a hot wallet and your longer-term holdings in a cold wallet can help limit your exposure when interacting with DeFi applications. | ||
| ## **Stay Safe** | ||
| **Never share your seed phrase or private keys.** Be cautious of phishing attempts and always make sure you are using the official wallet or dApp before connecting your wallet or signing a transaction. | ||
| *Wallet options are not exhaustive. Always do your own research before choosing a wallet.* |

| sidebar_label: FAQ | ||

| ## **How do staking rewards work?** | ||
| Rewards deposited into the xALPH contract increase the ALPH backing each xALPH. | ||
| The Staking APR is the estimated annual percentage rate of rewards you can earn by staking ALPH. | ||
| xALPH holders do not receive a separate ALPH payment. Instead, each xALPH represents more ALPH as rewards are deposited. | ||
| Rewards come from: | ||
| - Powfi’s share of the DEX fees. | ||
| - Funded staking campaign rewards while a campaign is active. | ||
| The exact APR will change over time depending on network activity, protocol fees and on-going campaigns. | ||
| ## **Why does xALPH increase in value?** | ||
| As staking rewards accumulate, the amount of ALPH backing xALPH increases. | ||
| This changes the conversion rate between xALPH and ALPH. | ||
| In simple terms: | ||
| **More rewards → more ALPH backing → each xALPH represents more ALPH** | ||
| The conversion rate changes whenever ALPH rewards are deposited into the xALPH contract. No separate ALPH payment is sent to holders; each xALPH becomes backed by more ALPH. | ||
| ## **How can I use xALPH?** | ||
| xALPH keeps your staked position liquid where xALPH is explicitly supported. | ||
| You can use xALPH for activities such as: | ||
| - Swapping xALPH and ALPH on Powfi. | ||
| - Providing liquidity in Powfi's ALPH/xALPH pool. | ||
| - Using xALPH in another application only when that application explicitly supports it. | ||
| - Confirming token support before depositing xALPH into any application. | ||
| xALPH does not automatically work in every DeFi application. | ||
| ## **Can I convert xALPH back to ALPH?** | ||
| Yes. There are two ways to convert xALPH back to ALPH. | ||
| ### **Official unstaking** | ||
| You can use the official **Unstaking** process. | ||
| - The conversion uses the rate in effect when you press **Unstake**. | ||
| - There is a **30-day unlock period**. | ||
| - Your ALPH becomes claimable linearly during the unlock period. | ||
| ### **DEX** | ||
| You can also swap xALPH for ALPH through a DEX such as Powfi. | ||
| - The swap is based on the live market price. | ||
| - The conversion is immediate. | ||
| - The amount you receive depends on available liquidity and slippage. | ||
| ## **xALPH and ALPH conversion rate** | ||
| At launch, the conversion rate starts at: | ||
| **1 xALPH = 1 ALPH** | ||
| The conversion rate changes whenever ALPH rewards are deposited into the xALPH contract. xALPH holders do not receive a separate ALPH payment; each xALPH becomes backed by more ALPH. | ||
| ## **What happens to my ALPH when I stake?** | ||
| Your ALPH is locked in the Powfi staking system. | ||
| You receive xALPH in return, which represents your staked position. | ||
| The underlying ALPH remains locked while xALPH gives you a liquid representation that can be used in supported pools and applications. | ||
| ## **Important things to remember** | ||
| - Staking locks your underlying ALPH. | ||
| - xALPH represents your staked ALPH. | ||
| - The Staking APR is an estimate and can change over time. | ||
| - The value represented by each xALPH can increase as rewards accumulate. | ||
| - Official unstaking has a 30-day unlock period. | ||
| - Swapping xALPH for ALPH on a DEX such as Powfi is subject to market price, liquidity, and slippage. | ||
| - Keep some ALPH available in your wallet for transaction fees. | ||

| title: Funding a Wallet | ||
| sidebar_label: Funding a Wallet | ||
| --- | ||
| There are several simple ways to get **ALPH** into your Alephium wallet: buy it directly through a supported wallet, withdraw it from a centralized exchange, bridge ALPH from another network, or receive it from another wallet. | ||
| **TL;DR.** If you are new to crypto, the easiest option is usually to **buy ALPH directly in the Alephium Mobile or Desktop Wallet**. If you already have ALPH on an exchange, you can withdraw it directly to your Alephium wallet. If you hold ALPH on **Ethereum or BSC**, you can use the **Alephium Bridge** to move it to the native Alephium network. | ||
| ## **The main funding paths** | ||
| | **Path** | **Best for** | | ||
| |---|---| | ||
| | **Buy ALPH in your wallet** | Getting ALPH with fiat | | ||
| | **Centralized exchange withdrawal** | If you already use an exchange | | ||
| | **Bridge ALPH** | If you already hold ALPH on Ethereum or BSC | | ||
| | **Receive ALPH** | If someone is sending you ALPH | | ||
| ## **Path 1: Buy ALPH in your wallet** | ||
| The **Alephium Mobile and Desktop Wallets** support buying ALPH directly with fiat through an integrated [on-ramp](https://alephium.org/news/post/making-alph-more-accessible-than-ever/). Depending on your location and provider availability, you can use options such as a debit or credit card, bank transfer, or Apple Pay. | ||
| 1. Open your Alephium Mobile or Desktop Wallet. | ||
| 2. Select the option to **buy ALPH**. | ||
| 3. Choose your payment method and amount. | ||
| 4. Complete the payment and any required verification. | ||
| 5. ALPH is sent directly to your wallet. | ||
| **Note:** Availability and payment methods vary by country. | ||
| ## **Path 2: Centralized exchange withdrawal** | ||
| If you already have ALPH on a [centralized exchange](https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/alephium#markets), you can withdraw it directly to your Alephium wallet. | ||
| 1. Copy your **Alephium wallet address**. | ||
| 2. Open the withdrawal section of your exchange. | ||
| 3. Select **ALPH**. | ||
| 4. Paste your Alephium address. | ||
| 5. Make sure you select the **Alephium network**. | ||
| 6. Confirm the withdrawal. | ||
| Always double-check the address and network before confirming a withdrawal. For a large transfer, consider sending a small test amount first. | ||
| ## **Path 3: Bridge ALPH from another network** | ||
| ALPH is also available on Ethereum and BSC as bridged versions. Powfi links to the Alephium Bridge, a separate application that moves supported assets between those networks and native Alephium. The bridge is not operated by Powfi's smart contracts. | ||
| The basic flow is: | ||
| **Connect wallets → Select networks → Select ALPH → Review → Confirm → Redeem** | ||
| Bridge transfers generally take several minutes. Around **5-10 minutes from Ethereum to Alephium** and around **2-5 minutes from BSC to Alephium**. | ||
| **Important: Use the official Alephium Bridge at [bridge.alephium.org](https://bridge.alephium.org/) and check that you are moving the correct ALPH asset.** | ||
| ## **Path 4: Receive ALPH from another wallet** | ||
| You can also receive ALPH directly from another person or wallet. | ||
| Simply: | ||
| 1. Copy your **Alephium wallet address**. | ||
| 2. Share it with the sender. | ||
| 3. The sender sends ALPH to your address. | ||
| 4. Wait for the transaction to confirm. | ||
| Only share your **wallet address**. Never share your seed phrase or private keys. | ||
| ## **After funding** | ||
| Once your ALPH arrives, check that: | ||
| - Your wallet shows the expected **ALPH balance**. | ||
| - The transaction appears in your wallet history. | ||
| - You have enough ALPH available for transaction fees. | ||
| You can then use your ALPH to **swap, stake, or provide liquidity through Powfi**. |

| ## **Powfi — Core product surfaces** | ||
| Launched on September 22, 2026, Powfi introduces two complementary foundations for **ALPH DeFi: CLMM and xALPH**. The CLMM brings concentrated liquidity to ALPH, allowing liquidity providers to allocate capital within specific price ranges, with the first key market being ALPH × USDTeth (Ethereum-bridged USDT). xALPH is Powfi’s liquid staking layer: users stake ALPH and receive **xALPH**, representing their staked ALPH while remaining usable in supported pools and applications. Powfi also supports **CPMM pools** as an additional, more traditional liquidity model. Powfi can support incentive campaigns when their terms and funding are published. | ||
|  | ||
| ### **CLMM — Concentrated liquidity** | ||
| Powfi’s CLMM allows liquidity providers to allocate capital within specific price ranges, making liquidity more efficient than traditional AMMs. The first key market is ALPH × USDTeth (Ethereum-bridged USDT), creating an on-chain liquidity venue for ALPH that can compete for trading flow with centralized exchanges. | ||
| ### **CPMM — Constant-product liquidity** | ||
| Powfi also supports **CPMM pools**, providing a traditional liquidity model alongside its concentrated-liquidity markets. While CLMM is the key liquidity layer highlighted for ALPH DeFi, CPMM gives Powfi an additional pool design for token markets. | ||
| ### **xALPH — Liquid ALPH staking** | ||
| **xALPH represents staked ALPH and can be used in supported pools and applications. Current support includes swapping xALPH and providing liquidity in Powfi’s ALPH/xALPH pool.** | ||
| ### **Cross-chain liquidity** | ||
| Powfi links to the Alephium Bridge, a separate Alephium application for moving supported assets between Alephium, Ethereum, and BSC. Bridge functionality is not operated by Powfi’s smart contracts. | ||
| ### **ALPH alignment** | ||
| For eligible CLMM swaps, 75% of the trading fee goes to liquidity providers and 25% becomes a protocol fee. Protocol fees must be collected and converted to ALPH before reaching RewardFeeCollector. No buyback, burn, or staker distribution is active on mainnet today; those actions require configuration and a distribution transaction. | ||
|  | ||
| ### **Incentives** | ||
| Two incentives campaigns, ALPH × USDTeth farming and xALPH staking, have been live since the launch of Powfi on mainnet, details below. | ||
| Round 0 started on September 22nd 2026, and will be re-evaluated on a monthly basis. | ||
