Associate Development Engineer (Backend) at WaveMaker Β· Java Β· Spring Boot Β· Auth & Security
I'm a backend engineer at WaveMaker, a low-code platform that companies use to build enterprise web and mobile apps. Most of my work is in authentication and security.
- At work: I built a multi-provider auth framework (OpenID Connect, SAML, JWS, opaque tokens), a GitHub Apps integration with short-lived tokens, and a Redis session store that cut authentication latency by about 45%.
- Migration platform: I built the pipeline that moved 100+ production apps and 800+ components from WaveMaker Online to Enterprise with zero data loss.
- Debugging: I'm comfortable opening a large codebase I've never seen and tracing a problem down to its root cause.
- Open source: in my free time, I fix bugs in well-known Java projects, reviewed and merged by their maintainers.
- Currently learning: AI in backend systems (RAG, MCP, AI agents) as part of my MCA in AI and Machine Learning.
I contribute bug fixes to large open-source Java projects used in production by many companies. For each fix, I reproduce the bug in isolation, find the root cause in the source, and send a small change with tests. Maintainers review every change before it's merged.
