Add menu-styles.graphical.enable-mouse, which is off by default. Without it, or without a pointing device, the cursor is not drawn and the hint only mentions the keyboard.

The graphical menu no longer uses the mouse or draws a cursor unless
enable-mouseis set under[menu-styles.graphical]in sprout.toml. It stays off by default, and when the firmware has no pointer protocols the cursor is still hidden. The hint text only mentions the mouse when it is in use. The README documents the new section.
