Hi, I’m Peter Rotich 👋

I am a software engineer, founder, and open-source developer interested in useful products, enduring teams, and widening access to technology.

I founded Enhancesoft, a software company with teams in Alexandria, Louisiana and Eldoret, Kenya. Our work includes osTicket, an open-source support platform that began as a small experiment and grew into something used around the world.

I write about technology, leadership, place, and the quiet work behind building things at rotich.com.

I am also writing StraitOuttaVillage: And the Long Way Back, a living memoir tracing my journey from Kolong village in Nandi County, Kenya, to New Orleans, Alexandria, Eldoret, and back to my roots.

Curiosity started long before computers. I grew up wondering how radios and watches worked, then used a computer for the first time in college. Open source helped turn that curiosity into a life’s work.
