⚡️ Overview

LoopPaper is an advanced Apple Shortcut that turns your device's screen into a dynamic, ever-changing gallery. It securely pulls random photos from a specified album and updates your wallpaper automatically in the background, exactly how you like it.

✨ Key Features

  • 🔄 Auto-Looping: Set a custom interval (e.g., every 30 seconds) to continuously change your wallpaper automatically.
  • 🖼 Custom Albums: Fetch high-quality photos directly from any specific album (like "My Wallpapers").
  • 💧 Readability Blur: Automatically apply a blur effect to the Home Screen wallpaper to make your app icons and widgets stand out.
  • 🎯 Smart Subject Focus: Intelligently crops the photo to focus on people or subjects, ensuring the best fit for your screen.
  • ⚙️ Dictionary-Based Config: Easily tweak settings directly from the top of the shortcut without breaking the core logic.

📥 Getting Started

Method 1: Install via iCloud (Recommended)

  1. Tap the Download via iCloud button above.
  2. The Shortcuts app will launch automatically.
  3. Tap Add Shortcut and answer the Setup Prompts.

Method 2: Manual Installation

  1. Tap the Download Manually button to visit the Releases page.
  2. Download the latest .shortcut file and open it to import.

⚙️ Configuration & Setup

Upon installation, LoopPaper will ask you a few questions to tailor the experience to your needs:

  1. Loop Settings (is_active & interval_seconds): Set to True to enable the auto-change loop, and enter the delay between changes in seconds.
  2. Photo Album Name (album_name): Enter the exact name of your preferred photo album (e.g., My Wallpapers).
  3. Wallpaper Location: Choose whether to update the Lock Screen, Home Screen, or both.
  4. Readability Blur: Toggle whether you want the Home Screen to be blurred.
  5. Smart Focus: Toggle whether the system should intelligently crop the subject.

💡 Pro Tip: To keep the shortcut from pausing on its own in the background, try creating an automation that triggers whenever a specific Focus is turned on.
