Verified against the registry APIs: PyPI and Open VSX at 0.8.0; JetBrains 0.8.0 uploaded and awaiting moderation (the API reads 0.7.0, so that one cleared); VS Code Marketplace at 0.7.0 with the 0.8.0 vsix packaged and attached to the release, manual upload pending.

RELEASING.md step 5: the ledger records what the v0.8.0 tag published, verified against each registry's API (not the previous line). PyPI 0.8.0 (clean-venv install verified), Open VSX 0.8.0, JetBrains 0.8.0 awaiting moderation (the API reads 0.7.0, so the previous upload cleared), VS Code Marketplace 0.7.0 with the 0.8.0 vsix packaged and attached to the release — the manual web-UI upload is the one remaining step and its line waits for the next substantive PR once done.
